Message	The wider the tires, the greater the tendency to hydroplane because the water has to travel farther to escape from under the tire. Because water is slightly viscous, you can trap water under the tire and hydroplane. Note that on a TT, the back wheels are wider than the fronts, and often have less tread because they are the drive wheels. I always drive like a grandpa in the rain, and avoid driving in rain whenever I can. - John
